Each line is a moment when I stayed still while everything else moved on.
Every day the light passes by. I watch it leave. I don’t feel anger, only a gentle tiredness.
Sometimes someone picks me up, looks at me for a moment, then puts me back down.
That’s when I understand that the cracks don’t run across my face — they hold me together.
I’m not waiting to be saved.
I just wish that, before forgetting me, someone would think that I existed...”
